In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until smooth. Mix in the flour until just combined.

In a different bowl (for the red velvet brownie layer) whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. beat the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and red gel food coloring until well combined

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients on slow or medium speed until just incorporated

Reserve 3 tablespoons of the brownie batter and pour the remaining red velvet brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Add a layer of the cheesecake batter mixture on top.
