1 Cookie sheet
1 sheet parchment paper
Ingredients
6regularOREO cookies
6squaresmilk chocolate
6regularmarshmallows
Instructions
Start by preheating your oven. Set the broiler on high and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a reusable mat.
Carefully twist each Oreo cookie in half. Lay the halves with the cream filling face-up on the prepared baking sheet. Place the plain halves off to the side.
6 regular OREO cookies
Top the cream filling with a piece of chocolate. Then, gently press a large marshmallow on top of each chocolate piece. It helps if your marshmallows are at room temperature, so they melt evenly.
6 squares milk chocolate, 6 regular marshmallows
Place the baking sheet on the center rack of the oven under the broiler. Broil for about 30 seconds to 1 minute—just until the marshmallows are golden brown and gooey. Stay close and watch them closely; they can go from perfect to burnt fast!
As soon as you take them out of the oven, place the reserved cookie tops onto each marshmallow to complete your Oreo s’mores. Let them sit for a few seconds before serving, just enough to hold together but still warm and melty.
Notes
Add-ons & Substitutions
Want to take your Oreo s’mores to the next level? Here are a few ways to make this easy recipe even more exciting.
Reese’s peanut butter cups or peanut butter chips: swap out for a nutty, rich layer instead of the melty classic chocolate layer
White Chocolate Chips: Swap the milk chocolate for white chocolate for a different flavor profile
Marshmallow fluff: Use a gooey spoonful if you don’t have full-size marshmallows.
Mini Marshmallows: Use 5 mini marshmallows instead of the regular-sized marshmallow
Golden Oreos: Use the "vanilla oreo" or your favorite cookie for a buttery cookie flavor
Peanut Butter: Add a spoonful of peanut butter on top of your marshmallow for an extra layer of flavor.
Expert Tips
Use a rubber spatula or drinking glass to gently press the sandwich together if they’re too hot to handle right away.
Place your finished s’mores on a wire rack to cool slightly without getting soggy on the bottom.
If you’re using a cast iron skillet, you can prep everything in the pan and broil right in it.
