Line the sides and bottom of an 9x9 inch square pan with parchment paper. Alternatively, spray with vegetable oil and dust with cocoa powder. Pre-heat your oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
Over a small bowl, mix the black cocoa powder and the flour until well combined. Set aside.
1/2 Cup(62.5g) all-purpose flour, 3/4 Cup(64.5g) black cocoa powder
Using an electric mixer and a large bowl, mix the brown sugar and eggs for 5 minutes on high speed, until foamy and light.Add melted butter, vanilla extract and salt and mix until combined.
2/3 Cup(146.7g) brown sugar, 3 Large eggs, 3/4 Cup(170.3g) unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon(0.3teaspoon) salt
Using a spatula, fold in flour and cocoa powder without over mixing, until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and OREO chunks
13 OREO Cookies in chunks, 1/4 Cup(45g) semi sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar
Pour brownie batter in an even layer on the bottom of the pan, then add some Oreo and chocolate chunks on top of the brownie layer for garnish.
Place pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with a few crumbs but the edges are set. Let cool completely over a wire rack.Cut in 16 small squares and serve!
Notes
Measure the flour and cocoa powder using a spoon, scooping the flour or sugar into your measuring cup without compacting it, then using the back of a knife to level it.
Use room temperature eggs so they mix better with the rest of the ingredients. If pressed on time, allow eggs to sit -completely covered- in warm (not hot) water for 3-5 minutes.
Once the flour is added to your brownies, mix with a rubber spatula just until combined. Do not over mix your dough!
Do not over bake your brownies. Check them after 20 minutes, if a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out wet, bake them for one more minute and check again. Toothpick should come out with a few crumbs in it, not completely clean
