Ingredients
1cup70% dark chocolatechopped in small pieces
1/2Cupcoconut oil
1/3Cuppure maple syrup
1/4teaspoonsalt
2teaspoonsvanilla extract
Instructions
Place a medium-sized saucepan on your stove over medium heat. Add the chopped dark chocolate, coconut oil, pure maple syrup, salt, and vanilla extract to the saucepan.
1 cup(175g) 70% dark chocolate, 1/2 Cup(118.3ml) coconut oil, 1/3 Cup(78.9ml) pure maple syrup, 1/4 teaspoon(0.3teaspoon) salt, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Stir the mixture continuously as it heats up, ensuring the chocolate melts evenly and combines well with the other ingredients. Continue stirring until the coconut oil is completely melted and the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. The mixture should be smooth and glossy.
Once everything is well combined, carefully pour the mixture into a clean, dry jar. It's helpful to use a funnel or a spoon to avoid spills. Make sure the jar has an airtight lid to keep the spread fresh.Cover the jar tightly and let it sit at room temperature until it cools down a bit. Then, place the jar in the refrigerator and let it set overnight. This will allow the spread to firm up and develop its full flavor.
If you prefer a softer, more spreadable consistency, you can shorten the setting time. Let the jar sit in the fridge for a few hours instead of overnight. Afterward, bring it to room temperature before using. This will make the spread easier to spread on bread, toast, or any of your favorite treats.
