Notes
Add-Ons:
Crumbled Cookies: Add crumbled graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or shortbread cookies for a crunchy texture.
Nuts: Fold in chopped nuts like almonds, pecans, or walnuts for a nutty crunch.
Honey Drizzle: Drizzle honey over the ice cream before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
Herbs: Add a teaspoon of finely chopped fresh basil or mint for a subtle herbal note.
Alcohol: Add a tablespoon of peach liqueur or bourbon for a grown-up twist that also helps keep the ice cream softer.
Food Coloring: For a richer color, add 1-2 drops of orange color to create a vibrant, orange-colored ice cream.
Substitutions:
Dairy-Free Option: Substitute heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk and use dairy-free condensed milk for a vegan version.
Sugar Alternatives: Replace sweetened condensed milk with a homemade version using evaporated milk and a sugar substitute like erythritol or stevia.
Different Fruits: Substitute peaches with other fruits like mangoes, strawberries, or blueberries for a different flavor profile.
Flavor Extracts: Replace vanilla extract with almond extract or peach extract for a different flavor dimension.
Flavor Variations:
Peach and Cream Cheese: Swirl in some softened cream cheese for a peach cheesecake flavor.
Peach and Cinnamon: Add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the mixture for a warm, spicy kick.
Peach and Ginger: Mix in some finely grated fresh ginger for a zesty, refreshing taste.
Tips and Tricks for making the perfect Peach Ice Cream
When the fat in the cream is cold while beating, it helps in making it light and airy, and it holds better its shape. Therefore, to accelerate the process, you can freeze the whisk and metal bowl for 15 minutes before using them to beat the heavy cream.
Use a potato masher or food processor to make the peach puree.
Use full-fat, regular Condensed milk for this recipe, for a creamy and better consistency
With Vanilla, quality goes a long way! so try using pure vanilla extract, instead of vanilla flavors
Using ripe, juicy peaches will make a huge difference in this recipe. Not only will they help with the texture, but the flavor will be sweeter and way better
