Chocolate and Strawberry Oatmeal
This creamy Chocolate and Strawberry oatmeal is super easy to make. With only 6 ingredients, this is a quick and healthier dessert or snack option.
What is worse than waking up late, running around chasing kids (or brothers, sisters, husband), and having to start your day without any breakfast to boost you up?
This Chocolate and Strawberry Oatmeal can be made the night before, you can store it in jars and just grab them in the morning to-go for a quick and healthier breakfast.
I make this a lot in my house, my kids and hubby just go to the fridge and grab a healthy, quick breakfast; takes a lot off my mind and my crazy mornings.
Ingredients for this Chocolate and Strawberry Oatmeal
Only 6 -very basic- ingredients are needed:
- Old fashioned oats
- Milk of choice
- Cocoa powder
- Pure Maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
- Fresh strawberries
How to make Chocolate and Strawberry Oatmeal
First, grab a medium-sized container (preferably with a lid), and mix the old fashioned oats, milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and maple syrup until everything is well combined.
At this point you can try a bit and decide if you want to add more maple syrup
Cover the container and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, place oatmeal in jars, top with strawberries and drizzle with maple syrup if desired
Substitutions
To make this Chocolate and Strawberry Oatmeal gluten free, simply replace the old fashioned oats for gluten free oats, the results should be the same.
If you don’t have pure maple syrup at hand, regular honey or any sweetener will work.

- 2 C Old fashioned oats (gluten free if needed)
- 3 C milk of choice
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 3 Tbsp Pure maple syrup
- 2 C fresh Strawberries
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
