Ingredients you’ll need for this Peppermint Hot Chocolate recipe

Very simple ingredients are needed, found in any big grocery store:

  • Whole Milk. Full fat milk is needed
  • Heavy whipping cream. To make your festive drink nice and rich
  • Sugar. To sweeten your hot drink
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder. This will give the chocolatey flavor to your drink
  • Semi-sweet chocolate. The melted chocolate in this recipe makes it so chocolatey and decadent! the warm milk will melt it and it will mix evenly with the rest of the ingredients
  • Vanilla extract. Pure vanilla extract goes a long way
  • Salt. To enhance the flavors
  • Peppermint extract. You will need real peppermint extract to make this taste as good as it sounds!
  • Peppermint candies. Use a rolling pin to crush your peppermint sticks or candies, and use them as a topping; it will add to the peppermint flavor and make your drink look perfect!
